MIDLAND PARK, NJ, January 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- European customs will enforce its new advanced manifest rule for all 27 European Union (EU) member states plus Norway and Switzerland. All goods entering any of the participating countries must make a security filing, including FROB (Freight Remaining on Board) and Transshipments. The data must be transmitted no later than 24-hours prior to vessel departure from the point of origin and must be sent to the EU country where the first port of entry occurs.
