Attorneys Receive Prestigious Legal Industry Honor
PARSIPPANY, NJ, April 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Attorneys Deirdre R. Wheatley-Liss and Steven A. Loeb of the New Jersey law firm Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C. have been selected as 2010 New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars. The result of a rigorous, multiphase selection process, the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list recognizes outstanding up-and-coming attorneys statewide. After evaluation on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are selected.
A shareholder with Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, Wheatley-Liss has been listed as a Rising Star in the areas of business and corporate law, estate planning and probate and elder law. Loeb, an associate with the firm, has been listed as a Rising Star in the areas of business and corporate law, estate planning, probate and tax law.

The author of Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard's New Jersey Estate Planning & Elder Law Blog, Wheatley-Liss is one of just 50 attorneys in New Jersey to be accredited as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (as approved by the American Bar Association). She is also a frequent lecturer and author of legal and consumer-oriented articles, and has been featured in Towne and Country Magazine, NJBiz, Consumer Digest Magazine and Money Magazine, among other distinguished publications. Wheatley-Liss was previously listed as a 2009 New Jersey Super Lawyer Rising Star, was named among 2009's Top 50 Business Women in New Jersey by NJBiz Magazine, and was recognized as a "Top Forty under 40" business leader by NJBiz. Concentrating her practice in business planning, taxation, elder law, and estate planning and administration, Wheatley-Liss counsels and represents a diverse group of clients, ranging from individuals in their 20s to 100-plus-year-old business ventures. She is also the managing shareholder of the firm's Technology Committee. Wheatley-Liss holds an LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor from Boston College School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
Loeb focuses his practice on tax law, general coporate law, trust and estate administration, estate planning, estate and gift taxation and real estate tax appeals. His considerable experience ranges from drafting wills and trust vehicles, to estate litigation, to corporate spin-offs and the preparation of partnership agreements, merger documents and corporate shareholder agreements. Loeb is a founding member of the LT Continuum of Northern New Jersey and has served as Special Tax Appeals Counsel to the Town of Morristown, N.J., for the past three years. He was appointed Commissioner of the Morristown Housing Authority last year by Governor Corzine. A member of the New Jersey and New York bars as well as the United States Tax Court, Loeb earned an LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
